At BayDent Dental Centre in Owen Sound, We Care about Your Oral Health

Now Offering IV Sedation for Relaxed Comfortable Treatment and Fully Digital Radiographs for Maximum Safety and Accurate Diagnosis

Our primary goal at Baydent Dental Centre in Owen Sound is to help you achieve and maintain great oral health. Where there is already damage, we work on repairing and restoring the function and appearance of your teeth and smile. Filling cavities and replacing lost teeth is only a small part of our job. We really like to work with our patients to help them stay healthy by dealing with the causes of the original damage. Many dental problems can be prevented by making some easy changes to both your diet and how you look after your own mouth at home. Regular dental examinations and cleanings are also very important in helping maintain health.

Nothing can ever look or function quite as well as a healthy natural tooth supported by healthy gums. That's why we feel it's essential to try to prevent dental disease before the damage ever starts, especially for children. We have a wide range of strategies and tools we can use to help you, including:

  • Exciting advances in materials are helping dentists repair teeth with materials that not only function well but also look more like a natural tooth.
  • Advances in dental implants are helping more and more people replace missing teeth without having to resort to removable dentures.
  • Advances in our understanding of what causes tooth decay and gum disease are helping us prevent and treat these still far too common afflictions.
  • Lessons learned from current, scientific, evidence based research are helping us make better decisions about the best ways to manage and treat dental problems.

Sometimes what can seem like an expensive treatment today can be a great investment when it is successful and lasts a long time. The cost of having to replace more affordable but less-ideal treatment can really add up in the long run. Talk to us about what the right treatment options are for your mouth.

At one time or another, many of us have been referred to a medical specialist by our family physician. Your general dental practitioner may also sometimes want to refer you to a dental specialist. These dentists have a minimum of two to three years of extra university level training in their specific field of dentistry. When appropriate, we will help you by referring you to appropriate specialists we know, trust and have experience of working with.
